Terms of Use

The Services

Blueline Tools currently includes Scale Conversion (SCC), the Building Program Generator (BPG), and the Concrete Volume Calculator (CVC), plus a studio site and portfolio. The tools run in your browser. We may add, change, or withdraw features. Catalog copy that says a tool is free is accurate until a paid tier exists; we do not sell subscriptions in this version.

Not professional advice

These results are first-pass estimates for early design exploration. They are not a substitute for a licensed architect, engineer, zoning counsel, or building-code analysis. Do not submit them as official calculations or for permit applications.

Outputs such as areas, densities, load factors, scale conversions, paper-fit checks, and concrete material quantities are generated from your inputs and our formulas. They can be wrong. You are responsible for checking results with a licensed professional before you rely on them.

Your content stays on your device

Names, notes, saved programs, templates, conversion history, and concrete estimates are stored locally in your browser unless you export a file to yourself. Because we do not upload that content, you own your inputs and we do not need a license to host them. If you email us a file or a screenshot, you grant us a limited permission to use that material only to respond to you.

Acceptable use

Do not use the Services to store or transmit illegal content in names, notes, or messages. Do not attempt to disrupt the sites or misuse another person’s information. We do not host a public gallery, so we do not offer a user-content takedown product in this version.

Our intellectual property

The Blueline Atelier and Blueline Tools names, site design, and tool software are owned by the operator. These terms do not grant you a license to copy the products except as needed to use them in a browser. We do not claim affiliation with AIA, RICS, LEED, or any licensing board.

Support and donations

Optional support via Buy Me a Coffee is processed by that company, not by us. Clicking that button takes you to a third-party site. We do not represent that payments are tax-deductible or that we are a charity.

Email and future mailing list

Contact and bug-report addresses are for those conversations. We will not add them to a marketing list. If we launch a newsletter, it will be a separate opt-in, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Children

The Services are not directed at children. Do not use them if you are under 13.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that calculations are accurate, complete, or suitable for permit, bidding, or construction documents.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or project delay, arising from use of the Services or from reliance on any output. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the claim (which is currently zero, because the tools are free). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operator resides, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. This sentence is a placeholder until counsel confirms a governing law.
